Today my fiance, Darrell, mentioned that he perhaps wanted to start a blog. I told him that I knew of a site that I had used in my English Comp I class. I then remembered that I had actually done nothing with my blog since the end of the semester last year!!!
Tonight I went through and got rid of the weird assignment things we had to do for the class, edited some of my posts, and quietly made a promise to myself that I would try to do better with my posts. I must admit, my thoughts did turn toward my sister, who hasn't updated her blog since November 2, 2007!! Hell, the last time she did a Twitter post since early January. If and when she has time to read this, I do hope she smiles - even though I don't get to read her fabulous blog posts, every so often I do get to spend hours with her talking and laughing!
Spring Semester started this week, and it doesn't seem like I've only been back in college a year. I'm close to being a Junior already (since I had so many credits transfer from the first attempt at college). I'm going to like my classes this semester - challenging, yet fun and interesting. I did manage to raise my GPA to a 3.5, and that makes me incredibly happy. Especially given that most of last year was spent either in pain or a Percocet haze.... more about that later.
For now.... I think I'm going to go curl up on the couch and watch TV with Darrell.
