I just received an email from my youngest sister telling me of the hard decision she had to make today.....
Her wonderful boxer, Kodiak, had been having hip problems for the past 6 months or so, and yesterday as he was coming back inside the house, "something" happened to his hip as he was coming up the stairs. They decided to see what would happen overnight - with rest - and today he wasn't any better - he couldn't get up off of his bed without help. The decision was made to take him to the emergency vet and have him put to sleep.
My heart goes out to her and her family - it's never easy.....
